Rencontre avec Jakub Szamałek

Nous sommes ravis d’accueillir à Librebook l’écrivain polonais Jakub Szamałek, à l’occasion de la sortie en français de son dernier roman La Station (Éditions Métailié).

La Station est un thriller spatial qui met en scène les grandes puissances en toile de fond et une intrigue d’une troublante vraisemblance. À bord de la Station spatiale internationale, une enquête sur une fuite d’ammoniac révèle des tensions croissantes au sein d’un équipage multinational. Fidèle à son style, Jakub Szamałek allie rigueur de la recherche et force de la narration : son savoir sur l’exploration spatiale se déploie avec une telle fluidité que le lecteur a parfois l’impression de se glisser dans la peau d’un ingénieur de la NASA.

L’auteur sera accompagné par son traducteur en français, Kamil Barbarski, qui animera la rencontre. Les éditions française et anglaise du livre seront disponibles lors de l’événement.

L’événement se tiendra en collaboration avec la maison d’édition Métailié et l’Institut polonais de Bruxelles.

We are delighted to welcome Polish author Jakub Szamałek to Librebook for the launch of the French edition of his latest novel La Station (Éditions Métailié).

Inner Space (La Station in French) is a gripping space thriller set aboard the International Space Station, where an investigation into an ammonia leak exposes growing tensions among a multinational crew. True to his style, Jakub Szamałek combines meticulous research with compelling storytelling, weaving his knowledge of space exploration so seamlessly that readers may feel like NASA engineers themselves.

The author will be accompanied by his French translator Kamil Barbarski, who will moderate the discussion. Both the French edition (La Station) and the English edition (Inner Space: A Novel) will be available at the event.

The event is organised in collaboration with Éditions Métailié and the Polish Institute of Brussels.
