Kite: a novel about blindness, love and Saramago’s translation

Can blindness be contagious?
Inspired by the true story of Giovanni Portiero, Saramago’s translator in English, Xavier Queipo wrote the novel Kite (or. Papaventos) that he will present at Librebook, accompanied by the voice of Xose María Sainz Pena and the playlist of the novel brought by music and visual artist Cé Tomé!
The presentation will be followed by a taste of Spanish wine.

About the author:

Xavier Queipo is a writer, poet and translator in the Galician language, who lives in Brussels. His novel Papaventos, originally written in galician, was published in 2001 by Editorial Xerais and translated in several languages. In 2018 the novel was published in English by Small Stations Press.
