Women’s stories from Malta by Lou Drofenik

In collaboration with Librebook, the National Book Council is pleased to announce the presence of two prize-winning Maltese authors, Lou Drofenik and Loranne Vella, for a series of readings and discussions on their works, the Maltese literary landscape, and more.

Women are at the centre of Lou Drofenik‘s novel The confectioner’s daughter. Throughout the three generations story, they face great challenges, making the theme of women’s emancipation strongly present in both the background and foreground of the story.

Don’t miss Lou’s talk about her novel at Librebook – Bruxelles and the complimentary cakes by Cafe Renardy !
